Every Thursday night the stage is erected and this fantastic pub turns into "Cornwall's Best Live Music Venue" with a host of great line-ups and special events through-out the year. Having achieved two awards at the Cornish Live Music Awards for the ‘Best Live Event 2008', and ‘Best Small Live Music Venue', Bunters prides itself on the quality of the bands and artists that perform. This dedication to live music has seen Bunters be recognised yearly as one of the hosts for the regional Red Stripe Music Awards.
The weekend's entertainment has established this pub as the busiest around with Friday now being known as B-Side at Bunters. B-Side is a weekly Friday night club night that will take place in the Cavern like ‘pool room’ end of Bunters where the organisers will create a venue specifically for live music performance that hopes to attract the best new home-grown talent as well as an array of up and coming touring acts from across the land to play it’s 200+ capacity.
Saturday night disco's provides you with that desired party atmoshere that the weekend is crying out for. Our very own VJ Beaker mixes up your favourite tunes on the screens from 8pm til late. Sundays lets you combine forces with your friends and enter the active quiz. The quiz master uses pictures, video and sound to test your range of knowledge and skills until finding a worthy weekly champion to award his cash prize to.
The Bunters Monday Club allows students the chance to become a member of the student discount scheme which is accepted in shops, cafes and Bunters Bar. Monday nights also feature the big games, free Wii and fun for all from drinking out of big fish bowls to laughing at the tumble of the giant jenga... If only we were young again.
